Detroit's Passport to Midtown!
Last week Yelp Detroit wrapped up an incredible 10-day celebration of Midtown, a kickin’ neighborhood in the heart of the Motor City that houses fabulous food, drink, shopping, and culture. Passport to Midtown featured fantastic events like Delish Detroit's Midtown Food Crawl that took us through five of Midtown's best eateries, a night of free jazz, Motor City Brew Tour's bar crawl where we toured two of Midtown’s most awesome breweries and sampled their tasty beverages, a complimentary bike mechanic’s class at the Hub of Detroit, a raw food tasting at Raw Cafe, a street market hosted by City Bird and Nest with shopping, eats and tunes, shopping nights, free art shows, a Ferris Buller's Day off inspired bus tour with Feet on the Street, a complimentary doggie play date at Canine to Five, and more!
Between all those events, over 20 businesses in Midtown offered discounts and special offers to thank yelpers for hanging out in their fair hood. $10 bowling packages, complimentary coffee, 15% off your dinner bill, free cookbooks, free yoga, free admission to museums, salon and shopping discounts, and $11 tickets to classical concerts were all for the taking for local yelpers from the following participating businesses: Atlas Global Bistro, Avalon, Be Nice Yoga, CARE Chiropractic, Charles H Wright Museum, City Wings, Curl Up & Dye, Detroit Artists Market, Detroit Community Acupuncture, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Flo Boutique, Fourteen East, Garden Bowl,Goods, Good Girls Go To Paris, Goodwell's Natural Foods Market, Leopold's Books, Sole Sisters, St. Regis Hotel, The Black Dress, Tulani Rose, University Pharmacy and Vino Dream.
Special thanks to Midtown Inc for helping spread the word, all the business owners in Midtown for rallying behind the promotion and jumping in so enthusiastically, and all of our yelpers who came out in droves to enjoy the events and special offers that these killer businesses had to offer. This might have been our first Passport promotion in Detroit but after this successful turn I highly doubt it will be our last!
