Cleveland Elites Sip 'N Savor Local Flavor!
Last week over 70 yelpers came out on a sweltering Cleveland evening and enjoyed the lake view (... err hid in the A/C) at Battery Park Wine Bar to Sip 'N Savor Local Flavor!
Hot guests loved the cool, exposed brick and modern, easy-going touches inside and the expansive outdoor patio with a full on view of Lake Erie shore. Mia M gushed, "I will definitely be back for the great wine selection, atmosphere and view of the sunset."
Grape expectations were exceeded with an enormous spread of, "gourmet pizzas studded with whole olives, shiny-bunned fist-sized sliders, veggies with tzatziki, pesto penne, ciabatta and cheeses" while acoustic musician, Chris Purdy, serenaded us with sweet tunes. All of the above had Manoa H singing, "This one's going in the favs list, you guys!"
Elites washed down all the complimentary bites with a tasting of a dozen local wines and beers! Harpersfield Winery and Laurello Vineyards provided delicious reds and whites from our own Northeast backyard in Geneva, Ohio. Cellar Rats Brewery brought on the IPAs and pilsners to make all the folks hoppy, like Jessica I, who "ended up buying pints after" since "the beer was awesome!"
It wouldn't be a proper CLE Yelp Elite party without a little extra something. All guest took home wine glasses with bases dipped in chalkboard paint for easy personalization and also crafted it up at the make-your-own glass charm station. Christina P was "particularly impressed with the chalkable glasses" and used her's "this weekend for cookouts!" Colleen P added, "the best part was the decorate your own wine glass, how freakin cute is that?! I have mine sitting on my desk. The charms for it, cutest idea ever!"
The photo booth was the perfect for donning purple lips and thanks to Ackey+Z Photography, we have hilarious pictures to show for it—see 'em here! Guests who checked-in on their Yelp apps were entered to win a prize basket full of wine and beer themed goodness, as well as a season pass to Yoga Rocks The Park this summer! Don't worry, smartphone-less peeps were still in the running with our raffle.
