Philadelphia's Yelp elites proved that pizza parties are not just for grade schoolers at Yelp's Grown-Up Pizza Party at Nomad Pizza Company. Our soiree got started with glasses of grown-up grape juice – Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, courtesy of Brancott Estate! Beer lovers indulged in three selections from Long Trail Brewing Co.
Guests were able to whet their palates with two of Nomad's salads: the Caesar, with anchovy fillets and a parmesan crisp, and the arugula with creamy goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and toasted pecans. The action at the pizza oven was broadcasted on the movie screen and it wasn't long before said pizzas were introduced to the crowd. Lauren H feasted on "slices of delicious margherita, arugula and truffle with egg" before losing count of the exact amount of pie consumed. But the staff at Nomad kept 'em coming all the way up to the finale: a nutella and banana dessert pizza!
With so many new faces in the crowd, breaking the ice was as easy as an introduction. For elite event neophyte Charlee D, "it was fantastic meeting some Yelp friends in real life and making new friends." We couldn't agree more and we feel the same about the wonderful folks at Nomad Pizza Company!
