Mother's Ruin This Ain't!
How do we Mancunians rid ourselves of the wet Wednesday woes here in Cottonopolis? We cosy up with some Brockmans, a dash of ginger ale and get schooled in the art of gin production (and the drinking of it, of course), in the beautiful and peaceful setting of Manchester's unique champagne bar Épernay.
Right after everybody clocked off from the daily grind of the 9-5, Brockmans kindly provided intensely smooth gin aplenty, made with their specific blend of botanicals. Whilst learning about the history of gin, Yelpers and gin enthusiasts alike got to sample Brockmans neat, in fruity Martini form, and were served glass after glass of a delicious Brockmans cocktail made with ginger ale, a slice of lemon and a fresh blackberry.
For a CMYE with a difference, Nate from Épernay and Hazel from Brockmans went above and beyond the call of duty, not only providing useful and unique information about the product and gin in general, but also talking to each group of lucky attendees individually. It was a night to remember, and the perfect way to see in the start of Manchester's spring season.

Thanks to Nate, Hazel, the staff at Épernay and Jody Hartley for his lovely snaps. View the rest of them on the Yelp Flickr page, and SYOY!
Until next time,
