Yelpers Get Nauti and Nice in Half Moon Bay

Forget Santa, South Bay-Peninsula Elites are what's up this December... and they proved it with an amazing, nautical-themed holiday party this weekend. 

Mavericks Event Center, a former boathouse-turned-beautiful waterfront event space, was the host for shindig. Over 100 guests dressed as sailors, pirates, jellyfish and mermaids came to celebrate the holidays in Bay Area stye. Half Moon Bay Brewing Company provided delicious finger foods such as crab fritters, tuna tartare and "beeramisu" (yes, tiramisu made out of beer). The Brewing Company also provided tastings of their delicous beers, including their Hefeweizen and Winter Ale. To compliment all the delicious offerings from the venue, ZU Bison Grass vodka whipped up several batches of holiday punch and Sailor Jerry served up spiced rum and Coke in tin cups. For those who had to be DD's, there was also Cascal fermented soda as well as Illy Issimo espresso drink.

Elites got cozy and warm at the outside deck's firepit and heat lamps, while admiring the amazing view of Half Moon Bay. If that wasn't enough, PartyBooths was onsite so everyone could ham it up for the camera. 

Before heading home, Elites and their guests got to take homemade goodies to-go, courtesy of a pre-arranged cookie exchange. The array of treats was a little overwhleming - everything from giant red velvet stuffed with cream cheese frosting to "Reindeer Droppings" to candy cane sugar cookies. Everyone "oohed" and "ahhed" at their fellow yelpers' talents!

The views from the patio were amazing.  The staff serving up all those yummy appetizers and free flowing beverages were super friendly.  Loved the photo booth, it was simple, fast, and great keepsake from the event."
