Overstuffed lobster rolls, tasty tendorloin sliders and colossal shrimp, oh my! Elites and their guests gathered on a Sunday afternoon to sample Capital Grille's signature cocktails and some of the best and brightest items from their highly-touted bar menu and “Plates” lunch menu.
After being greeted with their choice of cocktail, beer or wine, Elites mingled in the well-appointed lounge area and took in the awe-inspiring Yelp burst ice sculpture in all its glory. The sculpture was surrounded by mounds of shrimp which one Yelp Elite described as large "as babies' arms" and were accompanied by a housemade ginger and mustard vinaigrette. Guests also had the opportunity to try miniature Knife and Fork BLT's, parmesan truffle fries, porcini bisque and mini tenderloin sandwiches with wild mushrooms and Boursin Cheese. Mouths were stuffed silly, palated pleased and bellies satiated... this is the good life, indeed!
The ambrosial adventure in epicureanism also included an educational aspect – Elites were invited to take a kitchen tour and Chef demonstrated live at a meat station to teach guests a bit about the different cuts of meat and cooking process. But that's not all: Everyone went home with a posh gift bag including a complimentary appetizer certificate as an incentive for a future visit along with Lindt chocolate truffles and two of Capital Grille's steak rubs!
