With the help of High Society, Vancouver bhang-ed out one stellar sequinned Elite event on Thursday September 29, as Ginger62 was transformed into a sexy (y'hrrrd) den of fashion, finger food, cocktails, performance and body art. It was big, it was bold, it was beautiful – and it was all Bollywood, all night long! Yep, Yelp went Bollywood, baby.
Greeted by two "fabulously gorgeous 'ladies' that handed out delicious Indian sweets at the door," Elites went on to find that Art of the Wedding had created "a Bollywood paradise – bright colours, incredible food, wild entertainment, delicious (and complimentary, which never hurts) drinks, wonderful people and sparkly decadence as far as the eye can see. Heaven!"
And "the bartenders were working their magic" making the signature Bombay Sapphire drink, Indian Ocean, "pouring as fast and as stylish as they can be," while Ginger62's "food was delicious – every item was a mixture of sweet and spice that was executed to perfection."
Never to be ones to leave without glamming it up, a few lucky Elites made their way to Henna By Hini to get some "crazy intricate patterns" on their hands. And lawdknows a you can't take a yelper from their photobooth. The "eco-friendly photobooth" supplied by Ginger62 helped Vancouver Elites show off those freshly painted pretty paws in style.
But the entertainment? It was "out of this world!" The authenticity of the Shiamak Indo Jazz dancers "were definitely the highlight" of the night for Roanna Z. "Sexy, insanely energetic and entertaining," Mark H's "eyes got a workout just watching them perform!" And Drama Queen nailed it with the make up and hair for evening – "big earrings and hip scarves and cocktails, oh my! There's just nothing quite as colourful and upbeat as the Bollywood scene!"
