Halifax Elites Go Way Back At The Armview!
Forget bus schedules and cab chits, over 40 Halifax Elites time-traveled to The Armview on July 7, 2011 for a retro-chic, fifties-inspired Happy Days Party. Totally coolsville!
The "great mid-century modern decor," of this throwback lounge caught Lesley-Anne S' fashionable eye as the "perfect venue" for a night of getting fresh. We welcomed back party veterans and made first impressions on new elites like Leslie F with a neat-o signature drink of freshly squeezed fruit juices, orange vodka, and sparkling: "Oh Yelp Elite Party, you had me at 'here's your champagne-vodka cocktail!'"
Between the drinks and round upon round of hot dishes, it felt like yelpers were being offered delicious new tastes every few minutes including lamb filo rolls, goat cheese and fig crostinis, seriously spicy shrimp, and the ever-popular mini fish 'n chips served in tea cups. Colour Kirk F impressed: "I honestly didn't know the Armview could put on a spread quite like this."
As the sun set, this throwback party went from Sandra Dee to Rizzo as elites got their photoshoot on with a showstopping classic car: "the highlight of the night...was the El Camino that rolled in and became a killer backdrop for group photos taken by the ridiculously talented Liam Hennessey at Applehead Studio. I'm anxiously awaiting the emergence of those pics!"
