Yelp's Stirring Things Up Finale at H Street Country Club!
Last night, the DC Yelp Elite squad was in full effect at H Street Country Club, for the final round of Yelp's Stirring Things Up cocktail competition! Good thing the Elite squad came thirsty...per usual!
This time, five winning bartenders from the first and second rounds of competition went head to head with their original recipe cocktails to determine who would win the Dekuyper MixMaster Challenge in Washington, DC and move onto the national competition in New Orleans. Oh yea, and score $1,000 while they were at it!
And what better place for a competition than H Street Country Club?! With indoor putt-putt upstairs, pool tables and skee ball machines, this place understands the marriage between competition and alcohol consumption! When yelpers were not walking through the webs of cheese stretching from their piping hot quesadillas, or shoveling loads of guacamole in their faces, they were sipping on samples of the winning cocktails.
Although the competition was fierce, only one winner would reign triumphant. A panel of judges that included media mavens, a Dekuyper executive, a local mixologist phenom and Elite yelper, Kate C thought long and hard about their decision. And how could they not, with such fantastic drinks: the Southern 'Rita's peachy accents, the Middle Finger's refreshing taste (and accompanying choreographed dance performance), the Scarlet Letter's southern charm, the Kentucky623's apple-licious finish and the sweet warmth of the Autumn Bicycle Ride.
At the end of the evening, bartender Jeremy L was victorious, with his drink the Autumn Bicycle Ride, which provided a seasonal walk down memory lane for those who enjoyed it so much! Congratulations to Jeremy and best of luck in New Orleans!

Until next time, SYOY folks!
