Phoenix Yelpers Rock Out With Ear Candy!
On Thursday night, June 11th, Valley yelpers took over Martini Ranch and rocked out all night long. They came out in full force to help raise awareness for Ear Candy, a super cool non-profit devoted to creating and supporting music programs for kids.
Yelpers were welcomed with cocktails from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and the liquid love continued in the form of Cruz Tequila and Steamworks Brewing Company's Steam Engine Lager and Third Eye Pale Ale. Food partners went above and beyond as well... there was something for every palate thanks to Arcadia Tavern, Butter & Me, Mamma Mia, S'Bistro, Sweet Republic, and Wildflower Bread Company. Also helping in the sweets department were boxes of Landrin chocolates sprinkled around the tables of the venue and placed in the gift bags that yelpers walked away with.
Local bands played throughout the evening and according to Dave B, "the line-up (Sketching in Stereo, The Market, Surfside IV, Shawn Johnson and the Foundation, Black Carl, and What Laura Says Thinks and Feels) was really a current who's who of Phoenix bands." And as if that wasn't enough, Fender joined the fun and set up Rock Band for yelpers like Thomas S and Amber W to show off their rockstar talent!
A handful of lucky yelpers went home with rockin' raffle prizes including a gift basket from Just Because, gift cards from Pasta Brioni, Suddenly Slimmer Spa, and Harold's Corral, and a Rock Band 2 set.
Documenting the night was the SnapBooth Entertainment photobooth where yelpers took full advantage of the boxes of props to pose in front of the camera. You can see what went on behind the curtain here but make sure you use the secret code to enter: (Event ID: Yelp / Password: Yelp123). Gary M of four white walls photography and Tyson C of Tyson Crosbie Photography were in the crowds snapping shots too. Check out Gary's photos here and Tyson's photos here.
Additional partners for the evening were adRover, Desert Living Magazine, and zcab (making their debut in the city just for us!). If you missed out on the fun, or want to relive the memories, check out the reviews, and feel free to chime in as well. Thanks again for rockin' out!
Until next time, SYOY (See You On Yelp)!
