Denver Yelp Celebrates with Yelpapalooza 2009!

On Saturday night yelpers came out in full force to help Denver Yelp celebrate our one-year anniversary at the Skylark Lounge. Local bands Able Archer, The Hollyfelds, and The Knew played sets throughout the evening downstairs while DJ Savior Breath spun some hot tunes upstairs.

Yelpers indulged in Dr. McGillicuddy Cherry Bombs made with NOS Energy Drinks, Dr. McGillicuddy Lemon Drops, Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, Great Divide Beers, and Fuze to quench our thirst. And Mermaids Bakery created a sugar rush in the crowd with their yumtastic cake and cupcakes. Also helping in the sweets department were the boxes of Landrin Nibbles sprinkled around the tables of the venue and placed in the gift bags that yelpers walked away with.

Andrew W was lucky enough to have his name called out in the drawing which lead to him leaving with a bag full of treats including a gift certificate to Pandora's Jewelry, tickets to the Midnight Movies at the Esquire, Burlesque as it Was and Leadville or Bust tickets. Perhaps if you befriend him he'll take you to one of those performances!

Documenting the night was the Gigbot photobooth where yelpers took full advantage of the boxes of props to pose in front of the camera. And Adam R and Hans O were in the crowds snapping shots, too. Check out those photos here.

Wondering who made so many of the yelpers look so hawt? It was Luxe de Vil who provided complimentary hair-dos all night long.
