Houston Elites, Wine and Sweets at Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar
After experiencing Hurricane Ike and, for many, weeks without electricity, an Elite Event is just what yelpers needed to get back into the swing of things! The Houston Yelp Elite Squad and guests flocked over to Montrose gem Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar for a long-awaited night of mixing and mingling. Complimentary wine was a flowin', as sweet-toothed yelpers munched on savory treats provided by Crave Cupcakes . All of the flavors were insanely delectable, but many agreed that the granny smith apple cake with cinnamon frosting, along with the creamy red velvet, took the cake (so to speak). Good thing Sheri with Element 05 Oriental Medicine was there to provide guests with holistic health tips!
While jamming to their very own yelper-created music playlist, photographer and fellow yelper Bill O snapped shots of guests engaging in deep and thoughtful conversations—or something like that! And with the help of the amazing Austin CM, Kevin N, attendees quickly were registered for raffle prizes. In the end, Gretchen P scored two tickets to see MSTRKRFT courtesy of Warehouse Live, and Crystal L and Kyle O—hubby of Cory O—each won a pair of ComedySportz passes. Who's taking us?
Houston couldn't have experienced more perfect weather, as some yelpers preferred to sip their cold crisp grape juice (and frozen mojitos ... anyone try those? A-mazing!) on the front patio and back sculpture garden. Good thing Off! was on hand for those pesky post-Ike mosquitoes!
Until next time, Houston...

Events of this caliber sound like an insult to Houston's intelligence. "Party on, those without brain cells!" Right.

There is nothing wrong with making new friends and seeing familiar faces over some wine and cupcakes. Absolutely nothing wrong.

First time to Boheme & first time to sample Crave. Just what Yelp's all about. Had a great time meeting fellow Yelpers. And found some more supporters for this weekend's Race for the Cure. Thanks for the hard work, Farrah!
