Boston Elites: Costumes, Candy and Trick or Treat!

And let it be known, there were treats for EVERYONE!

In the spirit of All Hallow's Eve, Boston's Yelp Elite Squad packed the house at Tantric Indian Bistro for a spooktacular night of dressing up and getting down! Greeted by the Great Yelp Pumpkin, creatively costumed party goers were entered into a raffle for tickets to Thursday night's Jack O'Lampin Halloween Party with Travis McCoy from the Gym Class Heros and DJ Questlove. Plus, everyone received a mysterious gold-sealed envelope upon arrival. A peek inside revealed an opportunity for yelpers and guests to get in touch with their saucy side: a gift card from Newbury's sleekest adult shop: Too Timid!

The hotness only continued with a spicy feast of delectable Indian cuisine courtesy of Tantric, who supplied a little something for everyone with vegetarian and vegan options! And with beverages in bulk supplied by Beck's, everyone kept their cool with Beck's Dark, Beck's Light and Beck's Oktoberfest flowing all night long! Even the Beck's girls came out in their luscious lederhosen, doling out necklaces, hats and those super-nifty beer steins.

But the goodies didn't stop there! In between bites of pakoras, yelpers were elaborately decorated in traditional mehndi by the fabulously talented Heather, from Henna by Heather. From beautiful palm work to more delicately placed designs, many left the party even more adorned than before! And in case you missed out at the last event, tarot card readings were in full affect once again, interpreted by Steve Carter, a spiritual maven who's talents extend beyond the cards. Bringing a little authenticity to the event, real-life witch Joni Ray Latham was in the house to  educate Elites about the practices and importance that All Hallow's Eve holds for her culture.

Costumes you say? Costumes indeed!  With Amanda H as Cock Sauce, Damon I as Joe Six Pack, and John S as the Yelp Profile, it's no surprise that Boston Yelp's got the creative juices on lock! For those who went above and beyond, the spoils were sweet: Melissa C scored 'Best Female Costume' as an adorable Wind-Up Doll and took home a gift card from G20 Spa & Salon. 'Best Male Costume' went to Jon H's Quail Man and he was rewarded with a sweet speaker bar from Beck's. Ericalynn G scored the coveted 'Most Creative' for "Change You Can Believe In" and a MiniLuxe gift certificate. And 'Best Couple's Costume' went to Scott B and Melissa M as Juno, who'll dine at Tantric with a gift card!

Special thanks to our prize sponsors: G20 Spa & Salon, MiniLuxe, Tantric, Beck's, and Jon at FutureClassic for providing the Jack O'Lampin tickets! Our appreciation to Mary and her team at Tantric, plus Ed and the Beck's crew for helpin' to make the night happen!

Capturing the moments of mayhem and debauchery was our very own Billy Idol, er, Tatsu I, and keeping the door in check was the ever-gracious Yumiko F! Had a costume favorite or memory to share? Peep the official photos and be sure let us know what you loved!

Be on the lookout for the next Elite shindig!

And until then...
