Board Game night at Quebec City

Headercool

Fresh Quebec City Yelpers came together for an amazing board game night at La Revanche. We enjoyed delicious bites and cocktail and then jump into games. Each team were initiated to a different game. The winners of each table affronted each other in an ultimate dice battle to win the game they played. Most of the people stayed afterward to discover new games. Check out the photos and reviews!

It's our birthday and we'll Yelp if we want to!

Stonelotus_4 On Thursday evening the Yelp Elite Squad celebrated a year of Yelp Chicago with a big birthday bash at the upscale lounge,  Stone Lotus.  The evening started off with auditions for Check, Please where our very own yelp superstars lined up to yelp about their favorite restaurants on camera.  The producers are going to have a tough time picking just a few candidates when they have to choose between John F, Chris B, and the oh so lovely Christina S.

Stonelotus7 SF Yelp's own Brad P flew in for the big bash and could be spotted at the bar (where else?) in his snazzy red yelp jacket boozing with Mesum N, Erin B, and other fabulous yelpers. Yelp beauties, such as Amy H and Lindley E, were also in the house sipping svedka vodka martinis and making the hearts of yelp men go pitter patter.  And we can't forget Molly Mcbutter C....who can resist a woman in sparkly gold heels? Stonelotus6

We welcomed new members of the community such as Peter H and Jennifer S, who will now be sporting their yelp elite shirts around town.  Ray L also made it to his to his first yelp event and we were happy to see on the talk boards later that evening that he actually made it home.

Special thanks goes out to our unofficial yelp photographer, Dan G, for not only taking fabulous pictures, but also adding to the fun of the party.  And of course a BIG thanks to Stone Lotus for going above and beyond to make Yelp Chicago's birthday a success, BomBon Americano for satisfying our sweet tooth, and Svedka Vodka for keeping the booze flowing.

Dancing with Stephen Petronio

This past SImg_0082unday, the Yelp Elite Squad was invited to a special San Francisco Performances presenation of the the wildy-acclaimed - and simply wild - Stephen Petronio Company at YBCA's theater. Mixing original music from songsmith (and "fallen angel") Rufus Wainwright, evocative fashion and stunning dance choreography,  everyone in the audience was left exhilerated and emotional. And that was just the first two acts!

Right afterImg_0102 the performance, yelpers Rommy G, Jennifer R, Alisha K and others headed over to nearby B Restaurant, where guests were treated to tasty bites like grilled flank steak skewers and endives with creamy blue cheese, washed down with Berekeley beer Trumer Pils.

How could the afternoon get any better? How about when Stephen Petronio and all of his dancers dropped in for drinks and conversation. Ah  yes, another classic example of life being better when you yelp!

Yelpers Take Over Supperclub

The question, "How many yelpers can you fit into a supperclub?" was somewhat answered on Wednesday, JanuarySup1 24th, as roughly 450 Yelp Elite Squad members and their friends converged on the happening nightclub-cum-restaurant.

While some guests like Roseanne WEllie P, and David D made reservations for dinner, others showed up just for the "official" portion of the evening, which began at 9:30pm. Yeah, it was one of those nights - thanks in part to our friends over at Swan's Neck Vodka - we're talking Yelpers Gone Wild in the best sense. Don't believe us, take a look at some of the photos frSup2om the evening.

The night was made even more memorable since yelpettes Jennifer S, Karen W, and Carla D were all celebrating their respective birthdays; things went into sensory overload when when Ed M led everyone in a rousing happy birthday sing-a-long to them.

Sure, the night was a little crazy, but if you wanted to stay home and watch Grey's Anatomy re-runs, that's your prerogative!
